Galway Downs International!

The weather on both coasts has been tremendously unusual lately, with an epic snowstorm on the east coast and an equally epic amount of rain at Galway Downs! The massive amounts of rain brought back memories of Fair Hill 2009, and it was a tough weekend for both the riders and the vendors exhibiting at Galway.
Barbara Crabo Celebrating in the Rain!
Competing in such weather conditions on the west coast can be extremely challenging to riders who are accustom to dry footing. It presents a whole new set of challenges for the horses, who become much more sore in such deep conditions. Tom spent most of his time in the stabling area treating horses with sore backs and fetlocks and catering to his own competition horse, RevitaVet Capato, who was running in his first CCI 1*. RevitaVet was in heavy use this weekend and was able to help several competitors in all 3 FEI divisions prepare their horses for the jog after completing a tough XC.
James Alliston on Jumbo's Jake
James Alliston (pictured above) had an enormously successful weekend with wins in both the CCI1* on Mojo and CCI3* on Jumbo's Jake, and a 2nd in the CCI2* on Tivoldi (by .4 points).  Barb Crabo also had a winning streak taking first in the CCI1* Steeple Chase on Over Easy and 3rd in the CCI3* riding Eveready II.
Tom, Robert Kellerhouse
Young California Rider Maxance McManamy (pictured above) continued to prove she is a real talent for the future by finishing 3rd overall from a field of 29 starters in the CCI2*. She was awarded a RevitaVet system for having the best CCI2* Young Rider score.  RevitaVet Capato also came in a very respectable 10th place out of a field of 45 horses in the CCI 1*!  FULL EVENT RESULTS

This week we'll be heading East to be an exhibitor at the Equine Affair in Springfield, Mass.

"Equine Affaire serves horsepeople and the horse industry nationwide with annual events in Massachusetts and Ohio. Each exposition offers exceptional opportunities to learn, shop, network, and be entertained for horse enthusiasts of all disciplines, breed persuasions, and skill levels.

This is an enormous equestrian trade show, open to the public, so come on out & go shoppping!!

Good Weekend For RevitaVet Riders

September 15, 2011
Although somewhat late, some of the events this past weekend deserve recognition. AEC held once again in Chattahoochee Hills, Fairburn, GA. The weather cooperated for this year's championships and a lot of credit has to go to the organizers. It rained quite havily earlier in the week due to a passing hurricane. Good job Ritch Temple.

Barbara Crabo of Scottsdale, AZ, riding Eveready II to a first place finish in the Advanced class. Finishing on her Dressage score of 32.4, edging out Buck Davidson riding on Ballynoecastle RM, also finishing on Dressage score of 32.8.

Heather Morris, riding on Master P won the Open Prelim on her Dressage score of 30.7. Also, you got to give a lot of credit to Mattie Kelly, riding on The Highlander in a huge class of 68 horses in the Beginner Novice Rider Junior division, Mattie took 3rd place finishing on her Dressage score of 35.2.

Moving across the pond in the UK, and the Blenheim HT, Tiana Coudray, riding on Ringwood Magister, finished in 2nd place in the CCI***. Talk about a huge class, there were 97 starters in this division.

Also this weekend, at the CMSA Eastern US Championships held in Murfreesboro, TN, young Cody Clark set 3 world records in the first 3 of 5 stages. Wait till this kid grows, he will dominate this sport. See the run on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUbh63MOGL4

Good job everyone.....

Rebecca Farm's Wrap Up

Tom just called me from his home in Az., to tell me that he took a marathon road trip home from Rebecca Farms & drove for almost 24 hours straight.  After avoiding 2 deer in the road, landing in a ditch, he has arrived in one piece.  Now that's dedication to the sport of eventing!!

It was a fantastic weekend for so many of the RevitaVet riders.  Notably with the top three places in the CCI 3* going to friends by Hawley Bennett, Buck Davidson and Allie Slusher, after Arthur had an unfortunate meltdown during stadium. Phillip Dutton clinched the advanced division and Tammie Smith headed up the 1*.  Jordan had a heart breaking rail on RevitaVet Capato to drop into second just behind Kelly Prather!  Full Results

As always, Eventing Nation was on hand for full coverage of the event & posted a great video recap by Josh Walker, of the USEA.  Josh and I have worked together producing Boyd Martin's training videos & he always delivers a great result!

Cody Clark leads the pack into the finals at the AQHA Battle In The Saddle in Oklahoma City

It was a hot in Oklahoma City but not just the weather. There was a father and son team that competed in the Battle of the Saddle event and they were on fire. Rock and Cody Clark, what a team! Cody took High Overall in the main event ousting out 8 other men's level 6 riders among other shooters that are considered the "cream of the crop". The final go round continued to be just as hot. Cody, once again, took High Overall beating out his Dad by less than .1 second. Cody finished the match winning everything that he entered. Great accomplishment for this 16 years old. Rolex Wrap Up!

It was a tough weekend for many of the top RevitaVet riders at Rolex with Tiana Coudray taking a fall on the cross country after leading with a beautiful dressage test.  Many of the top riders had surprising challenges on a cross country course that was very technical and caught a few people off guard.

In the end the Brits triumphed with Mary King taking the top 2 spots,  signifying her first 4* win in a decade!!  Sinead Halpin was the top ranked US rider taking 3rd, and Boyd Martin held onto 9th position with a clean XC and beautifully ridden stadium round.  Unfortunately the riders in front of him in stadium did not pull enough rails to allow he & Remington to move up the ranks.

Enjoy the slideshow of stadium, and for full results, please go to the Rolex Website.

Kick on!!

Highlights from Twin Rivers CCI***

This past weekend RevitaVet was one of the sponsors at the Twin Rivers Event and awarded a RevitaVet IR2 system to the winner of the CCI 1* which was won by Jolie Wentworth of CA, riding Governess with a winning time of 50.6 on her Dressage score.

RevitaVet Capato ran in the Training Horse division, ridden by Jordan Linstedt, who stood in first place after Dressage. They had one rail in Stadium which dropped him to 12th place, then ran a double clear in XC to pick up 8 spots, finishing in 4th place. Talk about a roller coaster ride.

RevitaVet sponsored riders had a tri-fecta in the CCI*** won by Tamra Smith riding on Mar De Amor, 2nd place went to Barbara Crabo riding Eveready II, and taking third was Pam Fisher riding Sea Lion.

It was a productive weekend for RevitaVet therapies, treating both horses and riders with various injuries and general athletic soreness. After completing XC and leading her division, Tamra Smith came to the tent because Mar De Amor was hurt and faced uncertainty with being sound for the morning jog. In addition to chiropractic therapy applied earlier to her horse, we used the RevitaVet on the affected area twice on Saturday and early in the morning on Sunday. The horse got thru the jog without a problem and went on to win the CCI 3*!
